Ken Duval Oil delivers Bioheat® fuel to homes and businesses throughout the South Shore of Massachusetts. Bioheat® fuel is a blend of ultra-low sulfur heating oil and biodiesel made from renewable materials. These materials may include inedible corn oil, soybean oil, and recycled fats, oils, and greases.

Yes. Bioheat® fuel can be used in existing heating oil equipment without converting your boiler or furnace.

We recommend ordering heating oil when your tank gauge reaches approximately 25%. Waiting until the tank is nearly empty can increase the risk of running out, especially during cold weather, storms, weekends, and holidays.

Yes. You can request the date you would like to receive your delivery when placing your order. If the requested delivery date is more than two days in the future, we may not be able to provide a price quote when you place the order.

Due to the nature of the business and our efficient delivery routes, we cannot schedule a specific delivery time. This is important to keep in mind if you plan to pay with cash. We accept several payment methods, so you do not have to be home to make a payment.

Unfortunately, we often experience an influx of delivery requests the few days leading up to a snowstorm, making it difficult to meet the needs of all our will-call customers.

Yes. Please clear the snow around your fill pipe, especially if it is low to the ground, or we get a large snowstorm. We also appreciate you clearing a path for our drivers, so they can do their jobs safely and quickly.

No. Unlike many other fuel companies, Ken Duval Oil does not require a minimum delivery.

However, orders under 100 gallons, or orders costing less than the price of 100 gallons, are subject to a delivery fee. Payment for these smaller deliveries must be made with cash or a money order.

The price is set when you place your order, not when the fuel is delivered. Because we purchase fuel based on the orders we receive, we cannot adjust the price after your order is placed if the market price later decreases.

Contact Ken Duval Oil immediately to request an emergency delivery. Once a heating oil system runs out of fuel, air may enter the fuel lines, and the system may need to be primed before it will operate again. A $60 priming fee may apply.

A quick solution is to fill a portable fuel can with diesel fuel at the gas station to get you by until we can make your delivery. Diesel fuel is very similar to heating fuel, but there are more taxes on diesel fuel than heating fuel.

Ken Duval Oil delivers ultra-low sulfur diesel, dyed ultra-low sulfur diesel, and blended diesel with winter additives. Ultra-low sulfur diesel is used for on-road vehicles, while dyed diesel is typically used for off-road equipment and vehicles.

Yes. The Heating Oil Budget Plan spreads estimated annual heating oil costs across 12 equal monthly payments. Estimates are based on the customer’s previous heating history and predicted fuel prices for the upcoming heating season.

The Cap Oil Budget Plan combines the monthly payment structure of the regular budget plan with a maximum price per gallon. If the daily market price rises above the contracted cap price, the cap helps limit the price paid. If the daily market price is lower than the cap price, customers pay the lower market price.

Ken Duval Oil’s budget plans start on July 1 and run through June 30 of the following year.
